Blind Faith Integration - Ingleside, Texas
Completed in February 2008, the $25 million Blind Faith project was a platform project designed for the Blind Faith Field in the U.S. Gulf of Mexico. It is placed in about 6,500 feet of water and produces at depths of more than 24,000 feet.
Kiewit Offshore Services, a subsidiary of Kiewit Corporation, performed a single lift and set of 7,400 tons topside. They also performed equipment installation, integration of structural, piping and electrical/instrumentation, testing, mechanical completion, and pre-commissioning support. The team completed the classification activities for the American Bureau of Shipping and followed the United States Coast Guard certification requirements.
Initial production was 30,000 barrels of oil per day and 30 million cubic feet of gas per day. Blind Faith is Chevron's deepest offshore producing facility to date.
